Police statement on the hit and run

Police now say 14 people involved 13 injured plus the young lady who lost her life, 11 still in hospital,5 chidren 2 adults critical but stable.

Our thoughts are with all their families.

Karina (that unfortunately lost her life) has two of her children in hopsital, one with two broken legs, and the other with facial injuries and a broken wrist. Her eldest (or one of the older girls) is away in America on holiday? how sad, how do you break this kind of news to a girl, that is suppose to be enjoying herself on a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity holiday.

Been deeply moved by this story, especially being so close to home, and with a lot of names involved that I am aware of.

He appealed for anyone who had seen the white van, or an 05 plate black Renault Clio driving on the wrong side of the road towards Ely on Western Avenue at 3.25pm, before the incidents, to come forward.

He said that the black Renault Clio was being linked to the offences, but refused to say if officers believed the suspect was driving

Hope they got the right person at the station and they say his name soon, some guys had his name plastered all over facebook last night, people on ere said it wasn't the guy named.
those poor kids though loosing there mum, can't even imagine what there going through now, and hope the others that are in hosp are going to be alright as well. sad day!
