No, Carlton Cole. :ayatollah:

Re: Wales independence?

Why do people assume Welsh independence is about hating English people? It is such a petty an uninformed argument. For example, I have lived in England, have an English nan, have an English girlfriend, have a degree in English literature and literally make my living writing in English!

Fair enough if you come at it from an economic point of view, I would then have to agree with you.

If Wales voted for independence I would move to England!!! :o

Wales would become a third world nation if you let those cave dwelling Plaid twats run the joint.

The taxes raised from the people who work for them would more than balance the public coffers. As someone else pointed out, we would only have to pay for 2 million people. No army or foreign wars to bankroll either.

It's 3 million for starters but I imagine a million people would pack up and leave for England if we did become independent. You put forward and excellent idea but then ignore the fact that in many parts of Wales having a job is seen as being against the norm, we breed lazy bastards who just want to sit on their arse all day complaining Thatcher stole their jobs.

The nazis in this country have no idea about facts though, they seem to think having whole communities scrounging of the UK government, more people working in the Public sector than out of it and having a bunch of second rate "Politicians" in charge of us is a ripe moment for independence. We don't have nearly enough tax payers to fund it all.

Our young people will leave because our universities will be ran into the ground or their simply won't be enough jobs for them. Out old people will perish in the cold as the gas bills will rocket. The inbred gogs who will vote for this will demand North Wales become independant as their hatred and inferiority complex towards England will transfer to the South. Wales isn't any different to Yorkshire or Somerset.

LOL at a socialist partly like Plaid cutting taxes.

And another LOL at England or Ireland not doing the same.

Then what?

What would be the point anyway?

Two scenarios

1) We get subsidies straight from London
2) We get subsidies straight from the EU which come from numerous EU countries

Waste of time in my opinion. Either way, we're going to be subsidised. If we are ever going to go anywhere its the people in power that must do it. Build the roads, the trains, etc. No one will bring massive amount of business to Wales until travel is easy. That's why Cardiff is invested in massively and the west isn't. Bristol is just down the road, London is 2 hours away, if that. Lets be honest, Wales needs more motorways and the only way to do that would be to plough the country into more debt hoping to one day climb out of it. It would be a massive gamble that no party is willing to take because its far easier to just sit on their salaries.

Tried that trick before and it didn't work. Annis/Owain can read PMs so get your head of your arse. Now whose the lonely one? Was it Dave from Essex or Dave from Lancashire who was tuning your wife all those years? That is the only thing I can think of that would garner so much hate towards a group of people.

Size is unimportant you idiot. Look at Liechtenstein and Andorra, among the richest countries in the world with populations of less than a 100k. However why would you want to go independent from something that is already funding and subsidizing us? Are you that insecure about your Welshness that you must cast aspersions on others Welshness? It's f*cking pathetic, but then again you gogs are living in the times of Owain Glyndwr.

Tell me WHY you want to go independent without sounding like an English hating seething hillbilly.

Dont kid yourselves, these keep Wales speaking welsh monkees are clueless. Wales is a beautiful country that is part of the U.K thank f**k, because if it was not we would be fucked.

Wales has no industry and anyone outside the U.K hardly know we exist apart from some rugby fans from france. The valleys has the highest sickness record in the U.K and no one lives in north Wales.

If the U.K goverment did not keep us afloat we would do a titanic.

NOT ALL WELSH SPEAKERS ARE NATIONALISTS. So irritating, I speak Welsh and think it's a great thing but still appreciate the need for this union and would hate independence. Ridiculous idea with no actual thought given to it.
