He came out of the tunnel after the game, and waved his sticks at the ninian.
He had crutches but wasn't useing them as I thought he would considering the ligament in question.

Doctors recommend you put weight on the knee after just a few days after the accident/incident normally, which has probably happened. Along as the knee is kept straight at all times (including in bed) to help the ligament repair he should be fine, he probably had a knee brace on and just uses the crutches to help him walk when he gets tired.
