Who's tried the mobile site?

Sat Sep 29, 2012 3:05 pm

Has anyone had any luck viewing the mobile site from their phones?

It's a work in progress, but seems to be working ok!

The link is: www.cardiffcityforum.co.uk/index.php?mobile=mobile if it doesn't load automatically.

Let me know what you think.

Eh? Mobile Site?

There's enough six fingered sister bothering jacks on here already without having a "mobile" site? Those caravans will be a rocking in townhill tonight and not just the "family affairs" either, they'll be here in their in, double figures once they work it out

Glad it seems to be popular!

There's a few styling changes I want to make, but it seems to be working well.

All seems to work good. If you are taking requests, any chance of having the name of the thread originator next to the thread title?

It does sometimes depend on WHO is posting before you read the thread. :D

index.php?mobile=mobile

I'll add a link to the bottom of the page somewhere tomorrow.

I like it!

However, I think you should add the name of the thread starter to the posts on mobile threads mate!

I don't read certain posters threads and doing it this way means I don't know who has created the thread. So i have to switch back occasionally....

Just getting used to it.

Only grumble is on the front screen it doesnt say who started the thread / whos latest to reply.

Got to click the thread snd then you find out its some trolling wanker so youve wasted your time.

Great site no problem ( HTC sensation ) Easier for me to read in work.

OK plenty of people suggesting the thread starters name - I agree it's annoying not seeing who started a thread!

I'll try and see how easy it will be to add it somewhere.

Thanks all.

Also is it possible to add an icon to sticky to make them stand out more or something?

I find my keypad on my S3 works alot smoother on the mobile site with the SwiftKey keyboard app.

Right I think I've added the author's name to the topic title.

Works ok on my phone, so let me know if it doesn't on yours!

Also, those of you that like to use the 'view new posts' or 'view own posts' links, if you click the magnifying glass in the top right corner, it will give you those options.

Looks much better with the thread starter's name Owain.

Are smileys still an option ?

Possibly, I'll look into that too.
