Saw his name on the team sheet today and was disappointed.
However, must say he impressed me today. Was one of very little positives.

Scored a very good goal today.
Other than that no worthwhile contribution at all. Didn't know he was on the field in the second half until he was taken off.
One of Malky's favourites who, along with Andrew Taylor, seems to play every game irrespective of form or contribution.
Really not good enough for a team with promotion ambitions.

Fantastic work rate and commitment.
Nothing wrong with Cowie.

Don't understand the criticism of him at all.
What is it with our fans?

Not sure tbh.
Love a scapegoat tho.... Find it's odd it's Cowie who does nothing more than his best tho

the problem with cowie is he has very little quality, and shouldnt really be in the team

Maybe because cowie wasnt sat on the wing he played well, somebody tell MM to keep him in the middle

Such an astute observation.

Cowie does have quality, the time he spent playing as CM(his correct position) he played well, on the wing he is wasted, he has no pace, as a CM he battles well.

agreed, may be better to play in the middle instead of gunnarsson .

2010/2011 Assists
Player Club TOTAL
Adel Taarabt QPR 16
Grant Holt Norwich City 14
Don Cowie Watford 13
Lewis McGugan Nottm Forest 12
Albert Adomah Bristol City 11
Craig Bellamy Cardiff City 11
James Coppinger Doncaster 10
Peter Whittingham Cardiff City 10
His ability to create is underrated. I'd have him before Gunnarsson in the middle. Although I feel Mutch/Whittingham is our best option in a 4-4-2.

he should be given a chance in the middle agreed.

For a free transfer, he was a no-brainer.
