Nobody likes a smartarse, I know, but Father Ted was Irish. Writers, actors the lot.

Agree^ only I'd say nothing comes close to blackadder. The final episode of blackadder goes forth.. the world war 1 series. When they all wish eachother luck, then go over the top, it then fades into poppy fields. I'm not a sensitive chap but I will admit, that scene made me ball my eyes out. Really hit me. Blackadadder was genius.

I'm not spelling Nazi but 2 Packets of Crips made me giggle and then Men Behaving Bradley made me soil myself.

Only Fools is arguably the best overall.
Fawlty Towers as it burnt so brightly for a all too short series.
So many to be fair but I also love League Of Gentlemen as its so dark and only 3 actors in it.
Best ever sitcom in the world for me has to be Sgt Bilko - hasn't dated at all and Phil Silvers is just ace.

One of most mediocre is My Family and the only reason I have ever watched is that I would like to give the blonde daughter a necklace wot is made from pearls.

Surely Father Ted - genius characters and brilliantly written.

Only Fools is the greatest by far!

Was between Only Fools and Fawlty Towers, love both of them. Only Fools for the number of episodes it produced is quality, Fawlty has far less episodes but for what it was it was brilliant so voted for them just a shame it finished after two seasons.

Funniest sitcom is on a Saturday afternoon played at Liberty Stadium

All seriously though it's Only Fools & Horses by a country mile
