Cardiff boss Malky Mackay has been given a boost with the return to training of Craig Bellamy, who could be handed a place on the bench.
Centre-back Ben Turner is still a doubt after missing the last two games with a foot injury.
Leeds' new signing Michael Tonge could make his debut but fellow midfielder Paul Green (knee) is out.
Michael Brown (hamstring) is doubtful while David Norris (thigh) is expected to miss out.
