We all know that Michael Owen has been rumoured to join CCFC, I personally don't believe that there was any truth in this. But if I understand the premier league rules correctly if he doesn't sign for a club tonight he cannot be registered in a 25 man squad until the next transfer window. That would leave him with 2 options a club abroad or a club below the premier league until January. I don't think he will go abroad because of his interest/commitments to horse racing, so do you think a championship club would offer a short term deal if he's without a club by midnight,the other question is would he shift season tickets and Is he still a high profile name in Asia

i would have him on a pay as u play deal. but on the other hand it would be unfair on players like velikonja and helgueson etc who deserve their place in the squad.
