Wolverhampton Wanderers: This weekend's 'Super Sunday' clash against newly relegated Wolverhampton Wanderers is sure to be an intriguing match, as a few new arrivals look set to make their first appearances for the Bluebirds.

Former Brighton winger Craig Noone is set to play a part in the match, while Malky Mackay has stated that Kim Bo-Kyung is likely to be involved in the squad, having finally arrived in the capital this week.

Our opponents, Wolves, are another team who have been busy in this summer's transfer window. The sale of Matt Jarvis, Michael Kightly and Steven Fletcher has generated around £25 million for the West Midlands club. But manager Stale Solbakken has strengthened his team in some areas as well - former City target Bjorn Bergmann Sigurdarson could feature in attack, while defender Georg Margreitter was signed for £2 million last week.

Both teams have an identical record so far this season, having registered a win, a draw and a defeat in the first three games of the campaign. But City will be looking to bounce back from defeat at Ashton Gate against a team who will surely be strong rivals for promotion come the end of the season.

Key Players: As well as the new signings on display this Sunday, Wolves have many key players remaining from their time in the Premiership, making this a tough test for City.

The Wolves defence has remained mostly intact following relegation from the top flight - and one player familiar to the fans will be Roger Johnson, who is returning to Cardiff for the first time since leaving for Birmingham in 2009. Cristophe Berra, Stephen Ward and Ronald Zubar, who are all experienced in the top flight, could also feature in.

However, Wolves still look formidable at the other end of the pitch, despite Steven Fletcher's departure. Sylvan Ebanks-Blake is a proven goal-scorer in the Championship, having finished top scorer in the division on more than one occasion, while Irish striker Kevin Doyle is sure to provide a goal threat - as long as the club can keep hold of him on the last day of the transfer window. Elsewhere in the team, new signing Razak Boukari will bring pace on the wing, while attacking midfielder Bakary Sako will hope to be involved having scored his first goal for the club this week.

Previous Meeting: The last time the two sides met was back in 2009, as Wolves were top of the table - en route to promotion. The match ended 2-2, as City were denied a win due to a late own goal by on loan 'keeper Dimitrios Konstantopoulos. Ebanks-Blake had opened the scoring for Wolves, before Michael Chopra equalised. Also on the score sheet for the Bluebirds that day was Roger Johnson - and the City defence will have to be on guard to stop the former Wycombe man threatening at set pieces this weekend.
