I can't help thinking that in am ideal world Deadline Day would be BEFORE the football starts.

This is a totally different deadline day for us, the last couple we've been flapping and thinking surely Malky will swoop for his targets today??? Hope this year, all I am hoping for today is to polish off the Maynard deal and get a defender that happy to be a squad member.

I think you can still sort papers through to midday saturday. So we might be lucky.

Both very good players. Jay in this league is a no brainer imo.

Who could it be? gotta feeling he is premiership who could it be James Perch?

As well as Celtic.

In my opinion he would have been a great player to go after with Maynard and I think a Jones and Maynard front line would be up there with the strongest in this league easily. If Wolves somehow pull it off then that is great business for them.

Probably going to demand a few million though in terms of the fee and be on quite big wages so could be a risk also.

I would much prefer Maynard.

Malky had the option to keep Jay before he left (but after consultation with other staff) he decided he did not want him.
