Gus Poyet has admitted Albion are going to miss Cardiff-bound winger Craig Noone.

But the extra funds could help the manager end his long hunt for a target man and sign another midfielder before the transfer window shuts tomorrow night.
Noone has joined Cardiff in a £1 million deal on a lucrative four-year contract after the Welshmen made several attempts to buy him in January.
Poyet said: "It's a similar situation to ones we had in the past with Elliott Bennett and Crofty. Our valuation of the player is met and the player is willing to go, not because of us but what he has got ahead of him - especially what he is going to get paid.

"In the beginning it was very easy, because I was thinking only about the player and his future and his family.

"It's getting worse and worse, because you are losing a player that is very special, first on the pitch but also because he is very popular and a great boy to have around, a character. We are going to miss him." :) :ayatollah:

The Noone transfer is for a reported fee of £1.2m with a further sum payable up to £1.5m dependent on appearances and performance. Noone will go straight into the squad for Sunday's clash with Wolves but with Kim Bo Kyung and fellow new signing Tommy Smith also looking to feature - competition will be tough. :ayatollah: CCFC

Cardiff City are pleased to announce that Craig Noone has agreed to join the Club from Brighton & Hove Albion, following the completion of his medical and paperwork.

Winger Craig joins City on a four year deal and links up with his new team-mates today in preparation for Sunday's home fixture with Wolves.

A former Liverpool school-boy, twenty-four year old Craig began his career in non-league football before being signed up by Plymouth Argyle in 2008. After impressing with the Pilgrims he was recruited by nearby Brighton in January 2011, where he spent eighteen months prior to today's transfer.

Craig will take up the vacant number 16 shirt this season

Dare I say this without getting ripped into... Well done Malky Mackay!!!

Obviously there is something coming out very shortly re: Bellamy, but Malky
has not hung about. He has acted quickly and decisively and got a cracking
winger in. Also, whatever is going on behind the scenes, yet again he has
been backed. Annis mentioned something yesterday about Noone being a bit
of a wrong un? I've searched through Brighton sites and nobody seems to have
a bad word to say about him (apart from a love of Nandos!) So hopefully he's
not a bad lad!

Good move City!!

Striker and defender as well??

All Monsieur Mackay needs to do now is take off the shackles and let them play :ayatollah: :ayatollah: :ayatollah:

Cos five weeks ago he was too slow to sign players, we were missing out. Malky is too
indecisive and his dossier sucks dick

three weeks ago he was the best thing since sliced bread again, the dossier works, what
a side we have got, the Blues are going up

Last week it was we are relegation fodder, Malky out, Malkys got no idea, Malky should
never have got the job.

This week? Hmmmmmmm.

My point is: the fickleness on the board is pathetic
