Cardiff are in talks with an experienced defender who has PL experience.

He is not the young player I mentioned in the update but a player I would consider to be a squad player but more than capable of holding down a first team spot if/when he displaces one of the regulars.

The deal is not done and is at a delicate stage.

He will add height and strength to the defence should we complete the deal, which barring any hiccups I would imagine would be completed within a couple of days.

I will not divulge his name until the appropriate time.

we need two quality defenders in my opinion carl as its the same defence as last season who always looked like letting in a least a goal a game.
