Gutted. I wanted him.
but 6 million is a huge amount for a lad untested at this level
Its a big step up from the 1st Division

Gives us a better chance against Huddersfield opening day.
Blackburn the new Birmingham, stacking up on strikers! Under SK they will fail though

Thats what i thought - I'd rather test Wolves with a £2m offer for Ebans-Blake or even Maynard for £3.5m (ish)

Won't help us vs Blackburn though

It will, Blackburn have bought too many strikers, they wont gel in time.

Blackburn said they wanted two more strikers.
Rhodes at 6m is to much IMO

2 mill for ebanks blake? not a.chance is he worth that. not the same player anymore
Thu Aug 02, 2012 4:20 pm
Been scoring plenty pre-season, and can tear up this division as proved previously!

£6m!! Struth!
Half of that I'd of said personally.
The kid knows where the goal is without doubt but everyone said the same about Freddy Eastwood & more recently Charlie Austin, two players who since their moves have done pretty much fcuk all.
I'm all for giving young guns a chance BUT at the right price. Personally I like tried & tested players.

they seem to doing what whu did stop other teams from getting strikers! silly prices aswelll! not the thing to do especially with the manager they have!!

It is a big step up, look at Craig mackail smith banged the goals in league one lots of clubs after him then he flopped in the championship lets hope rhodes is the same then if he goes to blackburn

over rated in a poor league last year 6 million is alot of lolly for him tbh
Thu Aug 02, 2012 7:58 pm
Hope he knows he'll be playing a centre half with all the strikers they've signed.

Fair enough mate. I agree only time will tell but as a club chasing promotion id rather invest in proven talent at this level to be honest which is why the Helguson deal for me is good business but as you say, some strikers can hit the ground running, ie. Mason
Nice to get a decent response instead of abuse.

Yourself and others have to give Rhodes a chance to prove himself at this level, before we can judge him.
Yes Jay Rod has played in the championship and has scored goals...but as i have been saying for a long time on here -
Jordan Rhodes is the real deal - i hope he stays in the championship just so we can find out if he can step up.

I hope he goes to the prem if he's going to leave Huddersfield.
If there's even a chance he can recapture last season's form I want it as far away from us as possible thank you very much!

I think Rhodes should stay just for the season.. it will benefit him more.
