Just decided to do a quick look up on Vincent Tan

after reading Carl's thread about Langstone. According to Forbes he is now Malaysia's tenth richest man and is worth $1.2 Billion.

However the year before he was ninth with $1.25 Billion. It also says there that his fortune had fallen by almost 25% in the year.

He's still fantastically rich but I wonder if he is being more cautious with his commitments now. Especially as he's stepped down from day-to-day control of the Berjaya Corp to concentrate on charitable work

He did say some time ago that he was giving half his fortune to charity. I don't know if he still intends to.

What does it all mean? Dunno. I just thought I'd throw in a few facts and figures for people's interest.

A lot of his wealth is tied up in properties, companies and the governments.

As the markets go down so does his worth. Thats all that is, fluctuation in market prices pal.

i dont think he wil lever have to look under the sofa for a pound !!

His wealth has probably gone down due to the money he's been putting into Cardiff City!

I'm sure he's not doing it because he loves us but then he doesn't pretend to, unlike certain bushy eyed Lebanese debt collectors we could mention.
