Boxing - George Groves

Sun Jul 29, 2012 11:22 am

Had an undercard fight in the states last night against some tough Mexican fella.

Groves won with a KO in the 6th. Cracking combination of big hits to finish it, didn't realise he had such big punch power.

How do you think he'll fair with regards to world title level? Shouldn't be too long before he gets a crack at one of the belts.

I think he needs 2 more fights before it becomes realistic. He left himself too open and got caught a few times last night, would have been in trouble against a fighter like Froch for example.

no point comparing him to fighers like froch, he is a while away from fighter at the very top of the weight. Think he will have another warm up before a world title fight.

I like Groves. Better than hes given credit for. Needs to work on his defence but hes a gritty fighter.

Groves has excellent potential, however I think he needs a better trainer than Adam Booth.
I'm not knocking Adam, I really rate him however I think some one like Roach could work wonders with St George.

What George does well is he listens, which is what Amir doesn't do.

AMIR has improved under Freddy as did Collins and PAC , I'd love to see George at the wildcard gym.

Another win for the Ghost last night in a tough fight.
