Cardiff City dismiss any fears over Kim Bo-Kyung deal

CARDIFF City remain confident the transfer of South Korea international Kim Bo-Kyung is about to be completed.
Kim, 22, is committed to the £2m move from Japanese club Cerezo Osaka to the Bluebirds and a source close to the player says: “Everything is done from our side and the deal will be completed.
“There are a couple of bits of paperwork with his club dealing with international clearance and once that clears Kim will be a Cardiff City player.”
Kim is a fourth signing for manager Malky Mackay this summer, following Jordon Mutch, goalkeeper Joe Lewis and Slovenian striker Etien Velikonja, and he is keen to add another three or four more between now and the end of the transfer window next month.
The new signing visited Cardiff City Stadium and the club’s Vale of Glamorgan Resort training ground, completing a full medical before the transfer was agreed.
Kim is now with the South Korean Olympic squad and their opening group match is against Mexico in Newcastle this Thursday (2.30pm).
“There were other teams in Europe who wanted to sign me, but we agreed on Cardiff City and that’s where I will be playing next season,” says Kim, who will link up with the Bluebirds as soon as his Olympic commitments are over.
Korea have three group matches, against Mexico, Switzerland and Gabon, between this Thursday and August 1, while the teams who progress go into quarter-finals.
The Olympic final is on Saturday, August 11, a week before Cardiff’s first Championship match at home against Huddersfield Town.
