Hard, Mix up between Mark Grew, Steve Williams and Neil Alexander and Kasper.

not much choice for me as I've only been able to watch from 1999 but my top 5 would be

Neil Alexander, gutted when he left!

Anyone remember Tony "The Axe Man"? Never watched a pen being taken, always looked at the crowd. Terrible at kicking, but could pick out someones bovril from 60 yards!

Sorry to say we have not had a top keeper since Ron Healy in the early 80s i have a question who was the last home grown keeper to play in the first team.

Mel Rees (may he rest in peace) and Andy Dibble played around the same time - both very good keepers, in my opinion. Mel was from Fairwater in Cardiff and Dibble was from Cwmbran, I think.

Can't narrow it down. I honestly believe that we've had a lot of good keepers over the years, but we've certainly had some that have absolutely bombed.

Ron Healey was my all time fave but that's earlier than 89,

It was like having Shilton and Clememnce with Ron Helay and Bill Irwin with us at the same time

I dont know about best but Seamus Kelly has
to be up there with the worst.

Remember him wearing a training top in the riot game at Stoke
cos they forgot the goalkeeper top.

Always rated Hallworth !

Alexander was the best of the bunch for me in era mentioned, until Jones f@cked him up !

One of the best saves I seen in this period was by Phil Kite at the Canton End, he came on as a sub, I can't remember who against though.

The worst list is long and distinguished including Peter Zoos, Ross Turnbull, Tony Warner and of course Stephen Bywater !

All time favourite was Healey too, though Eric Steele will be fondly remembered for his save at Pompey in 83 !

Alexander was solid and pulled off some great saves, Marshall is probably equal to him, and Heaton is a great shot stopper but is too short in my opinon.
