CARDIFF EYE DULWICH TEEN

Thu Jul 19, 2012 2:20 pm

Cardiff City are leading the race to sign talented non-league teenager Omarr Lawson, Sky Sports can confirm.

Lawson, who is out of contract at Dulwich Hamlet, trained with Watford and Nottingham Forest during last season.

Both those clubs are still understood to be keen, whilst there is other interest from the Championship and League One.

However, Cardiff City have moved into pole position after he joined the Welsh outfit for pre-season training.

The 18-year-old is very highly rated and is hopeful of sealing a move to the Welsh capital.

If he signs a deal with Cardiff, Dulwich would be due training compensation.

What level do they play at I'm thinking below conference south?

Liking these signings just as much as the "bigger" more expensive ones tbh :)

Have a decent pedigree as a feeder club including Simeon Jackson, Carl asaba, George elokobi, George Ndah and marlon king.

I was a big DJ fan but these type of signs are what let DJ down IMO. MM is not only building a young and strong first team but also building an U21 team that is strong and can be developed.

my mate is a forest season ticket holder and he told me that he was hearing good things about this lad while he was training with them last season.. obviously 1 for the future but having a strong u21 team would be great... im looking forward to seeing tommy o'sullivan sometime also, reading lots of good reports on him...
