The UK Government seem to be doing far more for the economy in Wales than the Welsh Government.

Following the recent announcement of the electrification of the railways into Wales come this news of a direct rail link from Wales to Heathrow.

A further £500m investment from the UK Government from which the Welsh economy will surely benefit.

Really? Why is that? The way the goverment has acted with the armed forces is disgusting to our soldiers. To tell them that they will be made redundant whilst they out on training or operations to then turn around and say we need you for the olympics

But the government have a duty. a covenant to ensure

Says £1 billion overspent here. And anyway Israel have a defence force made up mainly of reservists so why can't we..? Personally I don't want our forces to be based in the likes of Germany and Cyprus anymore as times have changed.

fact .if a lad/girl joins up for his/her country they should have the best kit possible.they should also have the best hospital treatment and rehabs available.also i,d make the polititian who decides to enter a country that we shouldn,t be invading send his own kids if over the age of 16 .that should make them slow down a bit

Israel is different, they're conscripts, bare in mind Israel are nearly as bloodthirsty and paranoid as the American government. The guardian must be talking shit then, I watched question time and a TORY said that the defence budget is burning a whole of £47billion.

armed and ready to fight at the drop of a hat. they are fighting
for their religion.. not a government. they are the best equipped
best looked after soldiers in the world.

Ive always been in favour of consciption anyway as it will get the teenagers off the streets and give them a trade at the same pay as being on the dole. However the future is through reservists and if through the savings made could they ensure that they would then look after our servicemen better then is that really a bad thing..?
