Nottingham Forest new owners !

Wed Jul 11, 2012 6:45 am

NOTTINGHAM Forest's new owners are to give supporters an immediate say in the future running of the club.

The Al-Hasawi family, who completed their takeover of the Reds tonight, will meet fans at the City Ground on Saturday, to gauge their opinion on the club's future blueprint for success.

The Kuwaiti group have immediately outlined their ambitions by pledging that they will steer Forest 'back to the top of the table', as they set their sights on restoring the club's Premier League status, after completing the purchase of the Championship side from the estate of Nigel Doughty.

But they have made it clear that they want supporters' opinions to be at the heart of the way the club is run in the future, as Forest enter into a new era.

"It has always been our intention to seek the opinion and counsel of the loyal fans with respect to the club's future," said an official statement from the Al-Hasawi family.

"On Saturday (July 14) we will be holding the new season shirt launch at the City Ground, along with a press conference.

"After this, we would be extremely happy to meet with the club's friends and supporters.

"This is a tremendously motivating time for the family and club and you can be assured of our best efforts in bringing the Reds back to the top of the table."
