No one actually says that, but its the undercurrent, that's the buzz that's missing for them.

That is what being a Cardiff fan is about, it's not about success, it's not about selling our souls for a chance of the Premiership, it's about supporting the team, embracing the history and loving the fact we are the Bluebirds, play in blue and have the best damn badge in football!

It's not about being bent over a barrel and royaly f.ucked up the arse by some foreigner who hasn't a clue about football but likes the colour red!

You can try and dress it up whatever way you want but the people who are in the red camp are selling the soul of our club for success and that is the bottom line!

Nobody wants this, but what options do "real" fans have ?

1) Don't attend
2) Attend - But don't buy any merchandise and sing pro blue songs
3) Attend and fully support the changes
4) Attend away games only (but be an away member)

Just pick your option and move on........

Occasional Violins wrote:One of my best days out involved a 3-0 thrashing by Maidstone United in Dartford. From a football perspective it couldn't get much lower. It was like they used to do in the forces, put you all through the shit together, like bull-nights where you're all scrubbing your block when there're a million other things you'd rather be doing and you come out the other side a closer knit unit. Success is not a determining factor in terms of supporting your team, (or at least shouldn't be), much more important is the identity and feel of the club and its fans.

Now all I hear is 'wait 'til we are in the premiership and you'll all come sneaking back in', to anyone who feels strongly enough to boycott the CCS due to the change of our colour, sorry, not a pre-requisite to enjoying the football experience. You can't miss what you never had. Don't get me wrong, I've enjoyed the good days and promotion parties more than anything else, maybe the negative days make them even sweeter, maybe Man Utd fans enjoy winning each title just as much despite it being a regular occurrence, how would we know? Do we even care?

Another thread was talking about favourite away goals and someone posted Jimmy Gilligan's winner in Bath against Bristol Rovers, the date is imprinted on my memory, Feb4 1989. Cardiff's first away win all season and Bristol Rovers first home defeat if my memory serves. They didn't like it and I took the brunt of their annoyance at Bath station 'cos like an idiot I got back to the station after the Cardiff escort had left for home. All subsequent Cardiff trains passed through Temple Meads on the way home. 2+2 equalled 4. You win some, you lose some but above all you keep your identity.

maidstone at dartford f**k me was there for that!!! 4-500 cardiff brings a smile to face. :) :) we were proper shit then but good days.

take your head out of the sand, move with the times or get left behind, if you don't want success , shows a lack of ambition on your behalf, don't understand your thinking.
