new regime etc. Most thought we'd finish 8-10th.

Malky got us into the play-offs and into a Cup Final with a very limited
transfer budget, he was left with a mess quite frankly, half our team
were loan players that got recalled, so he didnt have much of a foundation
to start with.

He did an excellent job. So did the players he brought in. None were out
and out donkeys. Gunnarsson, Mason, Turner... all are worth a lot more
now than what we had to pay to get them in. Best of all, when the chips
were down, when we started to fall by the wayside... they showed a bit
of grit, character, determination.

He will have more money to spend this season, and has a strong base
of players already in place. If he spends a bit more on players with the
same work ethic, and perhaps a bit more flair here and there. We will
be right up there this season.

But its June 20th, season over SEVEN weeks away an already the dummy's
are being spat out cos we not signed anyone

Before the start of last season the overwhelming majority of City fans
would have been extremely happy making the play-offs. New manager,
new regime etc. Most thought we'd finish 8-10th.

Malky got us into the play-offs and into a Cup Final with a very limited
transfer budget, he was left with a mess quite frankly, half our team
were loan players that got recalled, so he didnt have much of a foundation
to start with.

He did an excellent job. So did the players he brought in. None were out
and out donkeys. Gunnarsson, Mason, Turner... all are worth a lot more
now than what we had to pay to get them in. Best of all, when the chips
were down, when we started to fall by the wayside... they showed a bit
of grit, character, determination.

He will have more money to spend this season, and has a strong base
of players already in place. If he spends a bit more on players with the
same work ethic, and perhaps a bit more flair here and there. We will
be right up there this season.

But its June 20th, season over SEVEN weeks away an already the dummy's
are being spat out cos we not signed anyone
