FAO Merlin- IPhone help

I have read some other posts saying that you are the man to ask about iPhone problems. My girlfriend has an iPhone 3GS with an error message "The iPhone could not be restored. An unknown error occured (29)" She says it happens when she tried to update the firmware. Do you know anything about thir problem. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Open itunes
Connect phone
Wait for connect/error message
Switch phone off
Hold power + home button together for exactly 10 seconds
Let go of power button but keep holding home button until itunes recognises phone again
Let go of home button
Phone is now in DFU Restore mode
Now click restore in itunes and see if that works, if not PM me back pal.

Error message 29 is related to power/battery issues also - make sure fully charged before update too

Open itunes
Connect phone
