Best way to deal with £1m per month debt

Thu Jun 07, 2012 10:07 am

Buy better players who are on more expensive wages.

This club got into massive debt by buying players it couldn't afford. Making for crippling debts. So to survive it sells it's soul and everyone is waiting for the next group of big name signings. Don't worry, it's the Malaysians money.

Whose money was it last time? Who are walking around the pitch taking the plaudits now :ayatollah: ? Has the £1m per month been paid off as a gift 8-) , by equity :) or loans :? :?:

We were in the shite when we were in the lower divisions too, because most people couldn't be bothered to turn up to support the team regularly back then because the team wasn't worthy of their presence, it would seem, despite it costing peanuts to get in. So much for supporting the team through thin and thinner. So often, if crowd size is taken into account, it wasn't about turning up to watch Cardiff but turning up to watch the team they were playing. Cardiff could put the same eleven players out against Manchester City in the cup as they put out at home to Exeter or Leyton Orient in the league, slightly different attendances.

People say that the players, managers, chairmen come and go, well history would suggest a lot of the fans do too. I've heard a lot about 'going back to the bad times of lower league football', well I would prefer that to supporting a club supported by the 'fantasy football' generation. Happy to spend, spend, spend but then fearing for the survival of the club because it can't afford to pay it's way. As for liquidation, well whose fault would that really be? Truth is OURS for letting OUR club get into this mess in the first place.
