We sold our soul to Sam

Wed Jun 06, 2012 11:59 am

Sam got us hooked on hope and debt- We are now helpless addicts, we will do whatever we need to do to get the next fix..

A lot are blaming the Malaysians for Taking away our identity (  ) this is just the consequence for selling our soul 12 years ago.

We are all to blame. I thought I would only see Wembley on a stadium tour or internationals.

This is not the end of the world...... Stop acting as if it is.

Your close to the mark there mate, where were all these moaning people when Sam changed our badge, in his pocket they were, time for people to take a good look at themselves and move on. So we can all get behind our team, together

Absolutely, Sam did inject some hope and save us initially and generated some real enthusiasm after years of neglect. However he changed the badge, started off the move from Ninian, spent more money than he could cover, loaned the club money from his own company (Langston) charging interest, sold our 3 best players in a week (Gabbidon, Collins and Kav), insisted on a 12th hour pay-off to enable the club to continue and then took the club to court to press for a summary judgment that could have spelt winding-up for the club  Yet he is still lauded by some

Ridsdale delivered the stadium but at a price that nearly killed us off again, we ended up in court on numerous occassions for non-payment of tax and placed under transfer embargoes, and he filled us with so much bullshit and increased the debt to the point that we had to go on bended knees to the Malaysians to save us

The Malaysians have loaned us money at interest, the majority of which they now intend to turn into equity, therefore, in real terms, they will have reduced the debt, they got rid of the previous manager at more cost, they appointed a young, hungry manager and state they are after Prem league (jury is out on that one pending the end of this transfer windon   ). They have changed the kit and badge but stated that they are committed to making this club a viable concern which could safeguard it's long-term future.

Compared to previous owners, TG and VT's record, so far, does not deserve the abuse they are getting.

I ain't no "red is great" poster but to safeguard my club I'll go with it unless someone can come up with a realistic alternative because in my eyes TG and VT are still in credit :ayatollah:
