The one that drives me mad is "there". Bluebird since (fill in year here) is a swine for it. He puts "there" for everything even though they are different words with completely different meanings. It's not as if it's advanced stuff, it's primary school surely.

So it's:

There: as in - "over there" such as a place.
Their: as in - "it's their ball" such as people etc.
They're: as in "they're a bit mental", it's simple short for "they are"

It's not hard is it?

Well down Berwyn - this has been driving me mad as well - and as you say, they are not exactly difficult words

"Could of" instead of "could have". What`s that all about?

And one of the worst is mixing up "to" as in going to and "too" as in also. "To" is only two letters (see what I did there?) yet people still can`t manage it!!
