What if Ridsdale and the board decide to resign...

Fri Mar 05, 2010 5:04 pm

What happens Monday morning?

The court case is on Wednesday

Borley is meant to be meeting the Malaysians on Monday

Who takes charge and keeps us from administration?

I was about to ask the same thing.

Lets say the Riddler/the board did actually leave before the court hearing on Wednesday, what happens?

We'd be fucked.

Probably end up going into administration as we'd have nobody in charge of the club

Considering what happened with Portsmouth, I doubt HRMC would allow us to go into administration.

ridders ends up bankrupt, as he has a personal tax bill to pay, and if we go into admin they will run it

Thing is we owe around £1.5m or something this time around, whereas Portsmouth was more like £12m I think.

Apart from the FL letting us sell players early, If we don't have any cash - like someone keeps telling us then we have no other options really

I don't know if its true but I was told that Portsmouth was made an example of because HMRC are fed up of clubs avoiding paying their tax bill by going into administration, so they're going to try and crack down on clubs doing it?

The Trsut would step in, possibly David Temme could be brought back to steady the ship, or Russell Goodway, Jason Turner could be re-instated and we can start building from there.

There are lot's of us whoo would give their time and expertise for free to help our club, because we love it, you can't buy our loyalty.

I agree Gwyn,

but we haven't got time for that at the moment. We're in a pretty precarious position, and in my opnion not the time to be changing ownership! Who knows what else is hidden away?
For their own sake the board aren't really likely to let the club go into administration, but who knows what would happen if someone new was to come in and try and clean up the mess, where would they start?
At least Flitcroft/Riddler know where we stand, and for their own sake are trying to get the necessary investment to save the club, and pay them off!

Ok perhaps not, maybe that's the problem

But they probably know more about the mess we're in that some outsider that would come in.
Surely Flitcroft must have quite a good idea, even if it is partially his fault!

I doubt it

he seems to like the rest , earning very good money for being not very good

im sure that if the board resigned that the court date could be put back ,hmrc do not like the lies com ing from peter risdale !
the money for the tax man is there from the land sale from pmg anyway , a egm would have to be called where any share holder including sam hamman can be voted on the board!if all agree

Not sure who is on the board and who isn't. If Ridsdale resigned, although no one else wants to do the job I think someone would step up because there are people with plenty to lose if everything just ground to a halt.

I will take the job on 22k a year :D

PMG would send their own accountants. They have too much to lose.

Thats the point, there wont be a vacuum of power as PMG are more than capable of pulling the strings and due to their shareholding, loans and security over our assets they have the leverage to install another person.

I thought companies went into administration because they couldn't pay their bills, not because the Chairman resigns?

This nonsense that only Ridsdale can save the club is complete and utter brainwashing. He has said it so many times that some people have come to believe it.

It's rubbish, I'm sure for £150,000 P/A someone would fill the gap and bigwyn has named 3 good candidates.

Come on Tony, he hasn't said that once, has he?

What he has said is that nobody who is currently at the club wants the job, and I think that's a certainty!

I think you will find he has, he even told Carl that the club goes straight into Admin if he leaves.

If PR cannot save the club, then we need someone who can
