SWEEPSTAKE EURO 2012 -UPDATE -Payment time

People have suggested a sweepstake for euro 2012.
My thoughts are this, £10 sent as a gift via PayPal  (will cost a tad over £10).

I'm looking for just 16 people and they will be the first 16 people to post they want to enter below.  I will send my PayPal address once we have 16 people agreed.

Winner will get £100
Runner up £40
Worst team £20
(fewest points, followed by worst goal difference, followed by most goals against) - also gives those drawn a shit team like England a chance at winning

The draw is a problem as I'm not keen on doing it alone as people may question the truth behind it, I'm hoping to find an online generator for it so if anyone knows of one then that would be ideal.(If no one can find a online draw I will have to do it at home)

As a suggestion for a fair draw, why don't you ask someone else from this board who is not participating in the draw to number each team randomly from 1-16 so only they know the number of each team.

Everyone who is participating in the sweepstake can then agree when the draw is happening and one by one tell the person who numbered the teams which number they have chosen. The person doing the draw can then respond online to confirm which team each person has drawn.

Might add a bit of real time online suspense

The only problem you then have is how to decide which order you will draw in (youngest first, alphabetical user names, you choose)

I don't mind numbering the teams and then arranging a draw on a set date.

Let me know when you have 16 entrants.

he then puts up that selection, that in turn triggers off the next pm by both independent posters

that way nobody has any control over anything
not even 2blue
if he posts the wrong country or player either poster would know
also each poster has no call over what name or country get put together.


or even simpler, get 3 posters to meet up for a drink and do it over a pint

the last 1 sounds the best option for drawing the teams/names. if you need 3 independant people to meet up and have to consume alcohol whilst doing this for you let me know and i'm sure i can find a couple of others to join me. just another excuse to go on the piss
