Reminds me of a Channel 4 documentary about the 9/11 claims by a French writer, his book selling 1.4m copies. People championed his view and claims as PROOF it was truth.

On camera the author admitted he'd not researched his claims and didn't need to as he *knew* what he wrote was true...
