Goalkeeper Tom Heaton and full-backs Paul Quinn and Lee Naylor are all out of contract and will move on.

The loan deal which brought Republic of Ireland international Liam Lawrence from Portsmouth also ends later this month.

Heaton is attracting big interest, with Championship trio Bristol City, Burnley and Sheffield Wednesday all keen on the former England Under-21 international.

City boss Malky Mackay admits he would like 26-year-old Heaton to stay. But Mackay accepts he wants to move in search of first-team football after playing second fiddle to David Marshall in the last league campaign.

Solomon Taiwo, Jon Parkin and Dekel Keinan are all open to offers.

The trio are under contract at Cardiff next season, but do not figure in Mackay’s plans.

Taiwo, 27, played for Leyton Orient on loan last season, while Parkin, 30, had spells at Doncaster, Huddersfield and Scunthorpe United.

Israel international Keinan, 27, had brief loan spells at Crystal Palace and later Bristol City last term.

Young professionals Alex Evans, Jon Meades and Canadian goalkeeper Jordan Santiago have already been released,

Treharris-born Evans, who joined the Cardiff academy at the age of nine, has attracted a lot of interest and has been linked with Cheltenham, Aldershot, Torquay, Aberdeen, Falkirk and St Johnstone.

Evans made just one senior appearance, helping Cardiff win 3-1 at Oxford in the first round of the Carling Cup last August.

Adam Davies, a teenage midfield player released by the youth academy, has attracted interest from Birmingham and Torquay as well as Scottish clubs Aberdeen and St Johnstone.

I think Gerrard isn't on the list because we want a decent fee for him, he was very good at Hull and IMO could demand a fee of £600K+

Parkin should be starting, the jibes about his weight by the plastic enemy in our end is disgusting, he's the best striker for us by far.

Plus I liked chanting BEAST. It reminded me of the school days where we would shout it at the fat kid :old:
