He was going to invest £100 million and convert it into shares. This means that what he can get out in future is dependant on how much someone's willing to pay him for the club.

You've got it very wrong here. It was going or will be all shares....not a debt like previous owners have built up.

Equity not debt and like the previous posters mentioned it would be his prerogative for us to be successful.
