Car insurance. Automatic renewal

Fri May 11, 2012 12:58 pm

Wifes insurance on car was due but I couldn't find policy documents. Rang swift cover who it was with and everything emailed so checked and the renewal was £567 if paid in lump sum, gone up from £345 last year no claims or anything in past year.

Just searched via compare the meerkat and got same cover with swift for £295. Thank god I checked. They don't send policy documents just email them to you. They didn't even send a reminder and it's up tonight.

Elephant done the exact same to me, My insurance went from £1400 to £2600 the mrs did have a bump last december but f**k me it wasn't £1200 worth of damage, although we did lose 2 years no claims because of it. I managed to find a quote for £1700 but still daylight robbery. me and mrs and 23/24 and we do drive a BMW 320D which may have something to do with it haha.

Yes that's probably why it's high...

Fact was if I didn't check her emails we wouldn't have known cos she never checks them.. They were putting it up some £270 quid just by staying with them. Where as shopping round cut there renewal in 2.

I always used the specialist insurance companies for my cars when I was younger, I had a XR2 when I was 23. Couple of years old it was and the insurance then was £800 that was 15 years ago. Now I pay £210 cos I got 10plus years no claims.

It's a shame how they get away with it, although we have no one to blame than our f*cked up society, everyone out for themselves, if we didn't have so many people claiming whiplash of such minor accidents the insurance would be half the price. Although that just sums up majority of British people, I lost/had my phone stolen on the weekend while out on the lash, not only was it not good enough for the person who found my phone to keep it, they also logged onto my ebay account which was already signed in and bought a load of items knowing there was no way to pay for them, the only possible reason for this is because they thought it was funny and they are C*NTS! so I will say it again, Typical british ( Majority ) anyway. There are some honest foke still out there!

Just email all the ones eBay... I've bought some stuff in the early hours on eBay and said I had card stolen.. I ordered a grass strimmer about 9 years ago while pissed up. Funny thing was we lived in a flat. Also bought 5 cloakroom sinks couple of weeks ago.
If anyone one wants a nice sink I'm down sully on Sunday with 5 of them to sell...

The b*stard caught me for £800 and made me £750 overdraw without warning, gave my mate a price too for his renewal when he checked online it was £250 cheaper, WITH THE SAME COMPANY !

There all out to get as much as they can.. I paid on my card to save the 39.9% apr swift were charging and the overall cost was halved compared to renewal.

Trouble is cos it's all email and no letters you loose where you.

I managed to sort all the ebay stuff out as the sellers agreed to cancel the transactions after I had explained what had happened, like I said there are still some honest people out there. Shame we have some bone idle people who want to protest ect, don't they have jobs to go to??? I am lucky enough to be able to post on the forums in between my job but I do not have time to protest again something which I my eyes could make the club massive. Again I will repeat BONE IDLE fans although this is just MY OPINION which I am entitled to ofcourse.

Hell I'd support the team even if they wore pink for f*ck sake if that's what it took to keep the team competing at the highest level!
