9 - Peter Whittingham hit the woodwork nine times but still managed to score 12 goals.

18 - Malky Mackay's men are the Championship's draw specialists, with 18, closely followed by Crystal Palace, who picked up 17.

16 - Cardiff City's Chris Burke takes the award for the most assists, putting the ball on a plate for his team-mates on 16 occasions. As well as setting up the goals, Burke has also found the net 13 times, the highest total of goals for a midfielder.

I still think Burke was too inconsistent for us and went missing in the big games (highlighted by his lack of impact in the playoff games). Amazing stats for Whittingham though. Imagine if he was a bit more aggressive, he'd be like a shit Zidane!

Think that deep role has cost him this season tbh. If only mcphail was fit all season whitts could have pushed on

Yeah. I know the theory behind him playing deeper is nice with the ability to be a 'quarterback' and spray balls around but we've lacked the pace out wide to feed off the long balls like we did when we had Burke and Bellamy last year and on the defensive he just stands off players so it just adds pressure to us when defending.

Hopefully we can get some pace in. no width killed us this season.

Yeah. I think it had a knock on effect as well. No width meant the midfield kept finding themselves short on passing options which meant Miller had to keep dropping deep and this eliminated an attacking outlet.

I hope we keep Lawrence. I know he didn't win everyone over during his short stint here but he's a class player and he was getting better with every game. Love his bite and the fact he's a natural right sided player to offer a bit of width. Just need it both sides that's all.
