An open apology

Fri May 11, 2012 1:14 am

First of all I would say sorry to 2blue2handle as he was doing a job and was right to delete my inappropriate remarks. And also my reaction on PM. My remarks was born out of frustration of being told my beloved Bluebirds was being killed off.
But being a 45 year old I did not cover myself with glory and I apologise to the Malaysians and any that was offended because of my remarks.
I do however stand by my statements and comments that was not abusive and I am glad this decision has been overturned.
Of over 35 years of supporting Cardiff City I have never known such a divide by the supporters and that is heartbreaking but I hope lessons is learnt all round especially from me in some comments I made which but Annis in a very awkward position and I am sorry to him as well.

Nukes your a fine gentleman, don't let others tell you other wise :old:

What you said was out of order, but things are said during the heat of the moment. You are angry like me but we will endeavour on to fight against major re branding of our bluebirds. :old:

In a moment of desperation man will do the craziest of things.

You crossed the line first, sir. You squeezed them, you hammered them to the point of desperation. And in their desperation, they turned to a man they didn't fully understand.

I think all are allowed a little grace....now and again.

The real win here is that you had the guts to be a man and admit your mistakes.

Even as a newer fan it ripped at me that this was happening, although I did not go ballistic,...I signed the petition and thought it was bad news....

However hindsight is as they say "20/20". We can all see clearly now and once again I have learned a lesson...less reaction more pataince......

I would hate to see you go Nuc's you are one of my favorite posters.

Are people over reacting a bit? Ive read worse on the other board. Its starting to feel like a witchhunt. Whilst im not condoning the comment prince philip said similare on a your to china a few years ago, i trust all the ' outraged' people offended have wrote asking him to stand down.

Karl, those words are spot on.

Over the years after a game or changes etc at our club I have said some drastic things, but 24/48 hrs, I have calmed down and have realised what I have said .

steve.a mark of a man of a man is to admit his wrongs.you are a man my friend.things get heated but i,m glad you stand by your core comments.one point i,d like to add is to the posters who think the malaysians will be upset by some of the remarks and urge restrained comments.can that extend to general posting too...do people have to be abusive to each other or swear at each other because they don,t agree with a point.?

I remember reading in a book (which I believe is available on amazon) about some lunatic who called in a bomb threat once.

He must be a nutter eh? :o ;) ;)

Me too, i posted for them "to do one", but that was in response to the 'non negotiable red kit registration' part of the 'leak' for which i also apologised in light of TGs explanation. I remain however totally against losing our Blue identity and nickname, but not wanting them to leave us .I still have two burning questions though.

1. I see no evidence of a 'Red' branded sports team becoming a far east cash cow other than Man U, which is surely because they are Man U and not because they were a lucky red. Any proof out there that it will work? So is Cardiff City a guinea pig for this attempted rebrand. Feels more of an experiment to me.

2. I want hard facts about what happens if the rebrand is called off for good, what are the consequences, no rumour or hearsay, or any more liquidation opinions, I want timescales, factual figures, and a worst case scenario but not from fans, not from those close to CCS ivory towers, I want it from the boardroom and finance men working for CCFC on an official club statement or letter to season ticket holders and the like.

Grown men should know better. A lot of people showed their true colours of late..and that wasn't blue either.

Because you post in bold does not make your opinions more valid, however I like to think you do it to help us older folk read it better :old:

The font sizes of this forum are very small :old:

No apology needed to me, I will and always have done what I think is right and will continue to mod this forum in this way.
Cheers.

Lets all slap each other on the back shake hands and pretend it didn't happen.
Unfortunately things were said, were read by the powers that be and we're now really in the shit because of it.
I agree the club could have handled things much better than they did and certainly the preposed re brand could and should have been discussed with all parties concerned of which the fans are one such party but it doesn't change the facts, would you continue to back someone or something if you'd been abused the way they have. No, so can you blame them when they leave us high and dry.
We're up the creek boys and the lifeboats are all dealing with other emergencies!
