Team GB , any thoughts?

Team GB will find out their Olympic football opponents on Tuesday with the draw for both events held at Wembley.

Stuart Pearce's men's side and Hope Powell's women have been named among the top seeds for the tournament.

In the men's competition there are 16 teams, with Senegal claiming the final place after a play-off win over Oman on Monday, and 12 in the women's.

Sides know the dates of their three group games but will discover their opponents at the draw.

Britain, world champions Spain, Brazil and Mexico were named by Fifa as the top four men's seeds on Monday, while GB, world champions Japan and defending champions the United States are the three women's seeds. FUN or FARCE. ps are any taff's in the team?

They are going to have to come up with some excuse as to why they failed to get out of that group.

I'll probably go to the game at the Millenium Stadium. I have no issues with Team GB

Me personaly couldn't give a flying fuk about team gb or the Olympics. I hope the weather is shit all the way through, I hope. Gb win no gold medals, I hope the whole event is ONE BIG FAIL!! London can shove there olympics where the son don't shine! Sick of hearing about the olympics and the so called lasting legacy it will leave pfft load of bollox! I'm actually looking forward to it. Once in a lifetime chance to watch a Great Britain team in action and see some of our Welsh boys (Bale, Ramsey and hopefully Giggs) play against some of the worlds best footballers.

Despite what anyone says the Olympic football competition has always attracted top players to it, such as Lionel Messi in 2008 and Ronaldo in 2004, and therefore the standard is decent. Brazilian wonderkid, Neymar, will be playing in London as will a host of other top players. If it's good enough for those players then I dont see how anyone can claim that it's going to be crap and isnt worth watching.

It should be a festival of football with a Welsh spice to it. It's a one off, enjoy it!

if they play for team gb then i,d imagine they would feel welsh and british the same as an englishman would feel english and british.so i doubt any welsh player will be too bothered about what anybody thinks about them playing for team gb.good luck to them.bale and ramsey are going to have a big stage to play on .this can only bode well for the welsh national team in terms of experience.yes there lot,s of better ways to spend a pile of dollar than host a set of games and build a stadiam to hand over to a set of porn kings afterwards.it,s happening though so i for one will try and enjoy them.

wales have some great young kids.i look forward to them strutting their stuff.bale would WALK in any england team so he will be one of team gb main men. before i joined this forum i wasn,t anti welsh but i,v took a lot more interest in wales since becoming a member on here.those kids will be there on merit.i hope you qualify for a major tournament soon.the welsh football fans deserve that but also the young guns you have need to be on the big stage for their country not just their club team.
