This season has only seen a small reduction on home attendances compared to last year.

West Ham 30738
Derby 25960
Southampton 26149
Leeds 23175
Cardiff 22097
Leicester 6th 22028
followed closely by Forest then Brighton.
Amazing to see our name amongst those very big clubs.
Wouldnt have beleived we'd get bigger crowds than Leicester and Forest a few years ago.
If you take off the difference in away fans who go to Leeds and what come to us you might find there is very little difference in terms of pure home fan nos between us..
Burnley, Hull, Doncaster, Middlesborough, Barnsley would all have taken loads to Leeds, probablt Forest, Leicester and Derby too. I doubt 5 clubs have brought over 1000 here, and maybe only a couple over 1500.

Hard not to be impressed by Derbys attendance.

When they were a Premiership club, fans brought into the concept of auto renewal season tickets ( similar to our own Premier club - wthout the hospitality) which is now coming to an end. They have been in decline in recent times.
Our crowds are more remarkable as lets not forget, we have not been in the top flight for 51 years. Most clubs have outshone us in terms of success by a huge margin.
Another factor with our crowds is that Cardiff is a growing city in terms of population, media and its even an Olympic venue.
I really think we could get 40,000 on a regular basis if a sustained Premier league place was secured.
