He is 28 in sept and has a contract until 2014. We either need to tie him down to 2016 with a new contract extension or let him go for £4m-£5m. If we were to miss out on promotion this year and next then he could probably go for about £1.5m next year with only a year left and the club needs to learn about looking after its assets. The signs are positive on this though with Mason's recent long term contract extension.

I think £4m is a fair offer , after all why would he honstly stay with us if he can get Prem experience , lets be honest thats every players wish is it not ?

Lets hope we do the biz , he has been loyal in staying but at that price and to meet his desire then he will go
