Olympic football

Wed Apr 18, 2012 8:18 pm

I know 99.99% of you won't be that bothered and before I read this I wasn't too bothered about the olympics, but I just noticed on sky about Beckham being 1 of the players at the Olympic games.
How the hell can a player who is past it be considered for these games. It must just be the organisers hopeing he will put a few thousand on the gate.

I f*cking hate the beckhams.

Rant over. Back to writing my cv

I know its a bit random but if Ireland put a team in for the olympics would Joe Mason be considered? :ayatollah:

It was obvious to me 6 years ago that beckham will captain the Olympic team....just watch.

Personally, I think the Olympic football team should only contain under 23's. No seasoned professionals should be making themselves available for the two/three slots. Leave it to players that can benefit from the experience.

Just noticed Gary linekar saying beckham doesn't deserve place in squad.. Deff should be all under 23s

It doesn't Interest me but I certainly take Giggs and beckham. Experienced and real pros for the young lads to look up to.

Can't stand the Olympics. Total Farce. Might as well have Boris Johnson and Red Ken playing, as Beckham.
