He's inadvertently upset a player of the squad who may or may not have fallen out with the manager, Gerrard will be unhappy and will no doubt speak to other players/his mates in the squad and tell them whats happening and that someone in the club has been leaking stuff out about players.

Not only that, but thanks to someone at the club and carls update everyone now knows that Craig Conway is having personal problems.

What business it is of ours and why its being posted on here, to me is totaly baffling and I just dont understand it to be honest.

If I was Craig Conway I would be aboslutely fuming that his personal stuff and whatever he's going through has been posted in the public domain.

One of the best posts I've seen in a while. Just like the Stephen McPhail update previously, it's caused more problems. I've said it before, one way or another, sections of our fans totally hold this club back.

Yes we'd all like to know as much as possible, but if it has a bad affect on the club, I'd rather not

What was actually said about Stephen Mcphail, other than GET WELL ? Which every paper has written about any way .

Carl has not once stated its Gerrard true or not ?

And who ever the player is everyone in the squad knows who it is anyway, so why would it upset the squad ?

Craig,

I know what you're saying but it can affect players because what if Conway was due to be in the team this Saturday and now 3 days before has had personal info posted on the net for all fans to see? This could have caused massive issues with Craig and his confidence meaning that he might not have felt right to train or even miss the game completely. That is a player that could us the game on Saturday so I think that's why it can have an affect on how we approach the game and can directly affect a result.

Either way, it's not Carls information to post.

As for not naming Gerrard, Carl isn't Stupid and it's obvious that Gerrard is the one player in the squad that will be li ked to a situation like that so again, I'd have thought he would know the reaction before hitting the "submit" button on that post.

Annis- I think you can hide behind a technicality but the line was "I'm hearing that Stephen McPhail is Iill again so I'd like to take this opportunity to wish Stephen all the best and hope he gets better soon". I think that says it all

How is it obvious its Gerrard ? where does Carl even hint its him ?

What did I say wrong about Mcphail, please tell me, wishing him all the best ?
I actually got thanked by him, so where is the problem ?

Can't see how it would upset the team - obviously the players already know who has been left out of the squad so much already and im pretty sure they all communicate and support with conway as well. it'll be nothing new to the team and staff - and they will carry on as normal!

Re: Carls updates

Here's the simple facts for you

Carl posts an update > it's caused one of our players to come out amdnhave to defend himself and get angry about it,

In what world should this ever happen.

Also, why is it Carls business to post about personal problems Craig Conway is having? Imagine someone found out something about Carls and posted it on a huge forum for all to see?

Again, how is this right?

I tell you what, forget it. This forum has become dreadful in recent times and is just causing massive problems for our football club.

Loose lips sinks ships.

Annis

Genuine question mate for an honest answer.

Do you genuinly believe that this statement is helpfull and is information that
realy needs to be shared to the board with six games of the season to go?

'''Craig Conway recently told Malky of some personal issues that he has been dealing with and Malky is big on honesty and respect, he demands that from his players, as a result Malky and the club are working with Conway to overcome his problems and Conway is currently working to get his place back in the squad.'''

How do you think Craig would feel reading that after he has most probably confided in people at the club about his personal life and whatever it is that is troubling him.

Can you not see why quite a few of us feel that this is not helpful and information that should never have been posted on here, its a breach of Craig Conways privacy and whoever has fed this information out is doing everyone no favours.

Can you honestly not see how that may end up causing diversions in the camp, between players, management, staff and fans due to a lack of trust?

Thats how I see it mate, not having a go or sniping or having a go at Carl, thats just how I see it and my opinion.

Im not knocking Carl or his updates here. But this is the part that I didnt agree with..
My point is do we know what his ''personal issue'' is?
And it should have remained personal between between him and his family/team mates for a reason...

Honestly I think it shows that Malky is not a Dave Jones and can sit down and talk to his players and not what many on here of thought as some have suggested he has it in for a lot of players. Craigs Dad, Ian spoke to me today and he is not annoyed with Carl, that to me says it all, their friends and family stay in Santa Ponsa next door to us and even came down to the Ninian Pub before the Westham game, if they were annoyed I would of deleted it.

If there is any divisions in the camp its certainly not caused by this forum or any mb.

Fair enough mate.

Maybe the update should have said that Craig is happy for the fans to know whats happening then and maybe that
would have stopped people from thinking that it had been posted without his knowledge which is what most people thought was a bit naughty in all honesty.

Re: Carls updates

The updates are great usually, but I'd hate to think they might include info that would upset out efforts on reaching the playoffs. Of course players read our messageboards, but imagine if what was being reported wasn't true? I'd be well jizzed off if I was that player.
I think we all need to be a little bit careful here. After all, each and every one of us want success at this club. We should all be pulling together. :ayatollah:
As for Carl, maybe he's in a 'damned if he does, damned if he doesnt' situation....we all crave behind the scenes info, yet he does get shot down for a few updates. Its a difficult one for sure.

Re: Carls updates

I dont agree with posting personal info, I think its wrong, but ffs it shouldnt matter when they cross the white line.

Stop making ready useable excuses for our shit form

Remember Nathan when you posted about Chopra, saying he was gambling/casino in Newcastle when he was suppose to be in training in Newcastle, Dave Jones said he was in training and said he was no where near Newcastle.
