Malky's gameplan/tactics against points made in the media

Today was yet another example of Malky's gameplan not quite firing as he would intend. However do you think his emphasis in the media of consistently highlighting that we may have to wait until the 80th etc for a goal and patience being pivotal, signals the gameplan he's consciously adopting for this stage of the season is one that involves approaching the game onnthe assumption teams will be tired and as long as we dont conceed we'll be okay - his insistance of playing so many centre midfielders could back this up?

I would argue that playing with ample width and stretching the opposition would be a better way of exploiting a tired opposing team, using our supposed superior fitness.
