Cardiff City manager Malky Mackay calls on fans to roar Bluebirds to victory

" Cardiff City manager Malky Mackay ready for the final push "

MALKY Mackay wants Bluebirds fans to roar Cardiff City towards Wembley for the second time this season as the Championship play-off crunch looms.

Mackay’s Bluebirds begin their final seven-match League countdown with tomorrow’s lunchtime clash with Millwall, knowing must-win time has arrived.

City have four home matches left this season, with Watford, Derby County and Leeds also coming to South Wales.

A 12-point haul from those games will be a huge factor in City’s bid for a top six finish and a place in the play-offs.

Mackay believes City’s fanatical supporters will play a leading role in the push for promotion, declaring: “Our fans have been tremendous over the whole season.

“Their support has been outstanding, home and away. They have turned out in force for every home game and the noise they make, the passion they show, lifts everybody.

“We have seven matches left, four of them at home, and we have a fantastic opportunity in front of us to achieve something truly significant.

“The key is working together and that includes players, staff and fans.

“Support at home matches has been truly outstanding.

“How we’d like the fans to raise the volume levels even further.

“Players really do draw inspiration from the noise generated in the stands at our stadium.”

City will go fourth if they beat Millwall and Birmingham fail to triumph at Doncaster this evening.

They could then sit back and watch as results with other play-off rivals unfold tomorrow afternoon.

Blackpool play Southampton, Brighton meet Middlesbrough, while West Ham clash with Reading.

Annis,

I can't wait for tomorrow's game, I hope the fans can really be the 12th man and push the lads all the way to a convincing win.
I honestly believe we can kick on and finish the season strong and reach Wembley for the 2nd time this year.
