Your perfect boozer?

Thu Mar 29, 2012 7:18 pm

MIne would have friendly well trained bar staff that know what they are doing, the best real ales, quality continental lagers, a well stocked and cheap juke box, no food except crisps, nuts, pork scratchings etc, a dart board, table football, pool table, all the sports channels (priority given to football of course) retro video games (space invader, pac man, donkey kong), live bands a few nights a week, beer garden, no dress code, no bouncers, no sofas, open late on the weekends, near a train station and bus stop.

When I make my fortune, expect to see this place open somewhere soon.

Good variety of ciders and continental beers, A good Juke Box with big screen for footie, A pool table for hustling on and all your good mates around you to have a good craic. :D :ayatollah: Heaven
One more thing pretty barmaids to look at too would be a nice bonus.

Nice summer days like today always nice to sit outside the captains wife or barry plastics up sully even though I'm not a drinker, still nice to chill up there with a glass of coke and a reefa :ayatollah:

I like The Cornwall in Grangetown, just as it is. If you haven't tried it, give it a go and see what you think.

Sounds good, but on the no food bit, how about some cheap deep filled sarnies & some pork pies?

Pork pies fine but sandwiches no, I want my bar staff to be serving the finest pint known to mankind, not fannying about with making butties.
Also I've decided to make the last Friday of the month "Barmaids in Basques" and £2 a pint all night. And I forgot skittles, it wouldn't be a proper Cardiff boozer without skittles.

Any boozer with lots of cheap alcohol, a female that loves the helmet, no limits to drinks e.g not being able to walk home so you crash out there is a perfect boozer. :)
