who is our most potent striker

Tue Mar 27, 2012 11:41 am

Miller
Gestede
Mason
Earnie
Hudson

Reasons behind the answers please!
After Sunday's finish I'm going for the Rock. He could be our play off saviour! A modern day Paul Warhurst :D :ayatollah:

A dose of Viagra needed for all of them.

Earnie could be, if he was given a chance in my opinion, no he is not a 30 goal a season player anymore, but I reckon Earnie is a 15 goal a season player today.

Although Miller is probably a better player i honestly believe that if Earnie had played the same number of games he would have scored more goals and therefore make him our most potent striker although i think Mason has real potential :ayatollah: :ayatollah:

I totally agree, Miller has all round class, but I honestly believe Earnie would score more goals, his record speaks for its self. A pity they could not play together.

ok well I tend to agree with Earnie being the more potent finisher. (The Hudson comment was for my good friend who thinks playing him up front is the quick fix answer to our goal scoring problems!!)

How then do you get Earnie firing? He can't play on his own in a 451, as already stated he cannot play alongside Miller, so do you abandon the 451 and play a flat 442 with two wingers (I'm sure we have one or two at the club!!!) Gestede & Earnie as your front men?

Earnie and Miller in the same team with a bit of width with Conway and Lawrence. We have more chances of scoring goals like that than in our current 4-5-1 formation.

Its a shame Earnie was not given a run. He has made a difference when he has come on recently as a late sub.

O.G has scored 3 in the last 5 games whilst the others only have 2 between them

I dont think he has made a difference comin as sub recently, hasnt scored has he.. Earnie is the not the same striker as he used to be.. ur saying he would have scored 15 goals this season doesnt miller have 10? with 7 games to go.. not big difference really. earnie was never going get in this team, miller brings alot more to the team then earnie does. and before anyway says he doesnt score enough goals

then think it wrong, he makes alot of goals aswell. like malky has come out and said dont just rely on miller to score goals, we wasnt at the start of season everyone was chipping in but they have gone quiet aswell, but noboday says anything about them

Miller for me is the best, but I still rate Earnie as well :ayatollah:

It was a quality finish from Hudson :ayatollah:

Earnie is a better finisher but Miller is a much better player.

Earnie along side a "thorne" type player would get goals but earnie upfront alone would be a disaster in my opinion.

Mason and Miller would be my duo upfront and by some distance :ayatollah:
