No wonder he was reluctant to leave the job, he clearly must like cardiff as a place

Yeah think they wont 4 their last 5 unbeaten since taking over,

IMO I think a fair few of players we had under dave jones a few had the wrong attitude and abused his laid back policy he give the players, which probably effected us more than his management/tactics and so on

Christ he did loads for our club, but it was time for him to leave.

Just because he is a former City manager why must we be drawn into pro or anti camps ?

I wish him well, and hope he feels the same about us.

They were already winning their matches when they sacked Megson though, they were 2nd. A chimp with no head could get Wednesday winning.

No they weren't. They were on a relatively bad run before they sacked Megson, excluding the Sheffield Derby

Spot on mate - DJ was the man who got us off our knees, and whilst he may ultimately have failed to get us promoted, he is still one of the best managers this club has ever had like him or not. Personally, I think he was too arrogant and detached to ever have become a fans favourite, but you can't deny the job he did for us.

What position were they in the table.

3rd, they were pretth nailed on for play offs because the twams below them were all about 10 points below. But then Arsenal was 10 points below spurs around the same time.

dave Jones was on the side near the wall eating copious amounts of pasta while the rest of the group just sat around the remainder of the table watching the fat cnut stuff his face.

When they sacked him they had won 1 in 8 games which was the Sheffield derby.

Since DJ took over they have won 4 out of 6 games and drew the other two games

They are 2nd now. And if both Utd and Huddersfield win their games in hand, they will be 4th.

Now, if a team had won only 1 in 8 matches yet still remained 3rd and have just beaten their main rivals, I would say the team would be in pretty great shape as it was.

Sounds more like to me that they've lost form at the worst possible time and he manager can't work out how to get hem back on form.

Not if they then went and won a crunch derby against their main rivals
