Good question Annis.

I remember thinking, and researching. We made appox 100 singings under DJ, approx 20 were good/useful, the other 80 turned out to be fluffs!

2. Michael Chopra
3. Jay Bothroyd
4.Peter Whittingham
5. Super Kev

Sorry Glenn Loovens Riccy Scimeca, Dave Marshall, Burke, Koumas, O'Neil, Bellers etc etc

Woeful:

1. Eddie
2. Bywater
3. Dimi
4. Nick McCoy(who I hear you say :D)
5. Andrea Feretti
6. Jason Brown(if he's backup to Bywater thank god we never got to see him)
7. Toni Koskela
8. Malvin Kamara
9. Iwan Redan
10. Luigi Glombard
11. Quincy for his wages

Sooooo many more.

He's easily in the red on transfers. Anyone that tries to claim differently is deluded.

Spent more than he sold?

I doubt it.

Whitts
Bellers
SuperKev
Chopra
Koumas (first time)

Marshall, Hudson, Burke, Jay, Johnson and Loovens could have easily been here.
The likes of Rae, Purse, McCormack and McPhail have also been good.

Totally
Agree with this post, dave had his faults but I also think people have not given him
The credit that I believe he also deserves, sometimes u have to lose something to realise how good it was, this is not a Malky bashing either I still believe dave had to go when he did but we saw some fantastic players play for us during his time and some
Good football, grante the style changed from season to season but if you look at the constant rebuilding we also undertook each season under jones is it any wonder? I believe once Malky gets his desired 16 players we
Will also see a shift in the playing style, as quite frankly at present it is dire to watch, however as always I am 100% behind the team and manager!! We will see a much more positive city next season with a few good
Signings

But gents when it mattered he could not get them to play together for him and as we all know when it came to the final hurdle, he just could not get the players to do it for him no matter how good they might of been, but this is not a Dave Jones bashing topic. I was just interested in our best and worst players under him that he signed. :ayatollah:

In my opinion the best signing he made has to be that 12 month rolling contract on megabucks which shows that Davy boy is no fool. ;)

As regards his best and worst signings I'm going to ignore loan signings because in fairness to the guy many were made to cover injuries and they either work or they don't ala JLS and Bywater.

So for me his best 5 signings were;

Bothroyd
Chopra
Whitts
Johnson
MacNaughton

All I believe signed for less than £1m.

His worst

Redan
Byrne
Darlington
Fowler
Whitley

Except Fowler none of those really cost us any money but given his cost compared to contribution I would have to say Fowler was his worst signing. Injured when we signed him amd paid big money whilst the club paid for the treatment needed to get him back to a level of fitness only for him to walk away. a disaster for me.

If you combine everyones BEST 5 ....you come up witha pretty good looking team...

that would have walked this division... (except perhaps for the November blip and the last month of the season ! :D )

Goalie

McNaughton
Full Back
Louvens
Johnson

McPhail
Koumas
Whittingham
Burke

Chopra
Bothroyd

Not much dog in midfield though...

McLean was awful but we made 500k on him in next to no time so hard to go down as a bad buy IMO
