Christian Roberts, Our Ex-Player

Christian Roberts was at a meeting my wife attended today, as part of the Show Racism The Red Card campaign.

She was very impressed by him and his attitude etc, so I just wanted to say a big thank you, if someone can pass it on to him, please. He is a credit to his family and to the great city of Cardiff. He's had a lot of ups and downs and has fought hard to get where he is today.

I ghostwrote Christians autobiography 'Life is a Game of Inches' which chronicles his battle with alcoholism! I'll pass on your message! He's a top guy who went through hell and came out the other side! He does a lot for charity and is thought of very highly at the Racism campaign!

I remember him playing for Bristol city against us twice and receiving some abuse which was embarrassingly loud enough for him to hear. Even after this when he scored he still refused to celebrate and just walked from goal with head down. True bluebird as we all know
