We have conceded 49 goals this season - 14 in the first half and 35 in the second half.
Only Ipswich (18) and Millwall (20) have conceded more goals than Cardiff (17) in the last 15 minutes.
Of the 35 second half goals 22 have come in the last 20 minutes. 71-75 mins 5 goals
76-80 mins 5 goals
81-83 mins 3 goals
86-90 mins 4 goals
90+ mins 5 goals
This has cost us dearly particularly in the last week or two with the Brighton equaliser in the 89th minute and again the Coventry goal in the 95th minute. What is the reason? Is it tiredness/lack of concentration. Some people will say thats when most goals come along when teams are tired. However we see to concede a lot more late goals than most other teams in the Division. For example, Derby have conceded only 6 in the last 15 mins, Hull 5 and Reading 5. If many of these teams can be solid at this crucial time why can't we hold onto our leads?
