So much for Malky's Scouting Network...

Thu Mar 22, 2012 6:09 am

We hear from Carl's updates that players are scouted, lifestyle checked etc, well who did the scouting on Liam Lawrence ?

I can tell you: He has no pace, he cant pass, he can't turn, his legs have gone and has contributed very little to a struggling City side except take a wage !

Perhaps this is the real area that we should be strengthening.

Wasnt Lawrence injured for a few weeks before coming here? Ive always rated him but he looks half a yard off it at the moment, certainly doesnt look an improvement on what we have already. Im hoping he just needs some games to get going again as at this level he can be a matchwinner but hes definitely had a slow start with us.

I don't usually slate individual players but I agree on this post big time, he's been no better than what we already have in my opinion.

Gives the ball away too much and is not blessed with pace. Reminds me of last years loans, as depressing as that sounds.

Agree mate.

How did he slip through the net of the new player recruitment policy?

But a lot on here want loan signings in, we have one and he is not that good.....

How many short term loans have been any good.. Eddie Newton, Gary O'Neil many others ?

Aaron Ramsey.

Anyway, it depends who is brought in theres been plenty of succesful loan players. Borini made a difference to Swansea, so did Lansbury at Norwich last year. That fella the Jacks have got on loan is doing the business as is the Russian fella at Fulham.

Malky loaned Cleverley when at Watford didnt he?

I thought Inamoto did a decent job while here. No Gary O'Neil but certainly improved the team.
