Anyone wear those shoes with the velcro straps?

I have very achy feet so was thinking about getting me a pair of them velcro strap shoe thingy's , anyone own a pair? Looking for insider fashion shoe info.
I know that a lot of elder gentlemen wear them so they must be very popular. Is it because they are very easy to slip off feet when your pissed and getting ready for bed? Will i still be able to pull in a white pair or should i stick to just black? Can I use them instead of my trainers or will i need to purchase a new pair of trainers from tesco's ... questions , questions, please help.
