blackberry messenger help

my boy wants a blackberry for birthday,he wants BBM, so do i have to pay extra for this service or is it included in the 100mb data allowance,cheers in advance

I'm not sure if it depends on the network provider but I pay £5 extra a month for 'blackberry services'

I'm on 3 & you get everything included on an 'all you can eat data package'

If you get the phone on contract then no, its free! But if the phone is on pay as you go its £5pound a month! Bbm is very good and well worth the 5vr a month if you do go pay as you go
